能 -noh-
能とは、
日本の代表的な古典芸能で江戸時代までは猿楽と呼ばれていました。
役者が能舞台と呼ばれる特殊な舞台で能面を用いて行われ、囃子と謡曲といった音楽要素や、
それに合わせて演じられる舞が融合された日本独特の演劇です。
歌舞伎や通常の演劇と違い派手な演出や舞台装置などはなく、極限まで無駄が省かれているのが特徴です。
室町時代に観阿弥（かんあみ）世阿弥（ぜあみ）という父子により大成されたと伝えられており、その歴史は600年以上。
海外でも高い評価を得ており、重要無形文化財に指定され、ユネスコ世界無形遺産にも登録されています。
観世流・金春流・宝生流・金剛流・喜多流
の５流派があり、演目数は５流派合わせて200数十曲にも上ります。
Noh is one of Japan's representative classical performing arts and was called sarugaku until the Edo period.
It is a uniquely Japanese form of theater that combines musical elements, such as musical accompaniment and chanting, and dances performed to these elements.
Unlike Kabuki and other conventional theater forms, Noh does not have flashy staging or stage sets, and is characterized by the elimination of unnecessary elements to the utmost limit.
It is said to have been developed by father and son Kan'ami and Zeami in the Muromachi period (1336-1573), and has a history of more than 600 years.
It is highly acclaimed overseas and has been designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property and registered as a UNESCO World Intangible Heritage Site.
The total number of pieces performed by the five schools is more than 200.
Concept
日本の伝統芸能である「能」の世界を、
同じく日本の伝統的な遊びである「花札」をモチーフにして描いているコレクションです。
まず私自身が能をもっと理解したいという目的と、
作品を通して皆さんにも能の世界に興味を持ってもらいたいという願いがあります。
能絵と呼ばれる版画などの作品は昔から数多くあり、能舞台での姿が描かれた作品が多いです。
私は能の物語を理解する中で能舞台の演者の姿ではなく、
能のテーマでもある幽玄の世界を表現し、描くことを制作の目標としています。
能は話の中で登場人物が成仏するような場面が見られる演目も多くあります。
このコレクションの作品を手に取って頂いた方にも、心の安らぎや幸福が訪れるよう願いを込めて制作しています。
This collection depicts the world of Noh, a traditional Japanese performing art, using Hanafuda, another traditional Japanese game, as a motif.
First of all, my own purpose is to better understand Noh, and secondly,
I hope that through my works, you will also become interested in the world of Noh.
There have been many prints and other works called Noh-e (Noh pictures) for a long time, and many of them depict figures on the Noh stage.
My goal is to express and depict the world of the ethereal, which is the theme of Noh, rather than the figures of the performers on the Noh stage as I understand the story of Noh.
Noh has many performances in which gods appear and the world of salvation is depicted.
I create my works with the hope that those who pick up a piece from this collection will also find peace of mind and happiness.
